Computer Audio Upgrade '03

Day 1 - Arrival of Speakers and Capacitor
I received my two 10" 600w Pyle woofers today along with my 1.0 Farad American Legacy capacitor.  I'll be drawing power off of my computer's UPS, so I'm using the capacitor to get rid of the half-wave DC charging current.  I wouldn't want that interfering with the audio signal.  Clicking on the preview pictures will load the Medium-size picture.

Medium (39.6KB) - Large (1.44MB)

Here are the speakers in their box.  They came together (I half-expected two boxes) to my delight.  Let's get another shot of that shall we?
I went ahead and stacked my speakers and threw the capacitor in there so we could get a good view.  It was actually supposed to be a blue one without a digital readout, but hey--I'm not complaining.  =)

Since we've seen both the speakers and a general picture of the capacitor, I thought I'd take a closer shot.  I really like that digital readout.
All of the equipment lined out looks rather beautiful, doesn't it?

And now the moment you've all been waiting for =)

Here are two PLW10BL's side to side.  I love the shiny metallic look to the blue (it looked flat in all the pictures I had seen).
A tilted shot of the speakers stacked and the capacitor leaning back against a box next to it.

Medium (45.6KB) - Large (1.65MB)

Medium (46.1KB) - Large (1.61MB)

The same as above, just a little closer and with the top box open.
I'd already put up the camera, but I remembered that most people take pictures of the magnets/underside, so here ya go.

Medium (44.1KB) - Large (1.34MB)

Medium (50.4KB) - Large (1.47MB)

Here's a closer shot of the magnet on the left speaker.  That's 70oz of pure thumpin' computer audio fun.  Not shabby for a $50/pair set of speakers, eh?
This is similar to the picture two up, but it's at an angle, in case you prefer it.  I was going to have a picture of the back label of the speaker, but it turned out blurry.  That concludes Day 1.

Medium (48.9KB) - Large (1.63MB)
